Today is a good day

This morning we overslept and rose grumpily at the last possible moment. I was feeling under the weather. While we rushed sleepily through our morning routine, Nick said quietly, as if to himself, “We can walk on our own two feet. We don’t live in a war zone. We are not morbidly obese.” I looked at him quizzically. “Reasons today is a good day,” he said.

This is a picture one of his coworkers took of him at Water Country.
